Certified True Copy – Dubai

A “Certified True Copy” (CTC) is a notarized copy of an original document, stamped and signed by an authorized notary/public official confirming it is a true reproduction of the original. Many authorities also require translation, legalization, or apostille depending on where the document will be used.1) Company Formation / Free Zones

Free zones and regulators request CTCs of passports, Emirates IDs, licenses, resolutions, and parent-company documents for KYC and setup. Foreign corporate papers must often be legalized and translated.

2) University Admissions & Academic Verification

Universities ask for CTCs of degrees, transcripts, and IDs to verify authenticity. Some may also require legalized/apostilled originals and official translations.

3) Visa Applications (Family, Employment, Investor)

CTCs are required to prove identity, family status, or qualifications. Typical documents: passports, IDs, birth/marriage certificates, degrees, salary or bank letters. Foreign certificates may need translation and legalization.

4) Courts, Immigration & Consulates

CTCs are used as evidence in court, or for immigration/family matters at consulates. Civil records, contracts, and corporate docs often need CTC plus Arabic translation and legalization.

5) Real Estate & Power of Attorney

DLD and trustees require CTCs of title deeds, IDs, and POAs for sales, purchases, or registration. POAs must be valid, specific, and properly legalized if issued abroad.

6) Banking & Legal Transactions

Banks and courts require CTCs for KYC, loans, litigation, or POAs. Common documents: IDs, licenses, share certificates, contracts. All pages must be stamped, and translations provided where needed.
